Vaishali (Ghaziabad), May 5, 2011:“I want to wish you- Goodbye, meaning ‘God be With You’, and I meant it”, expressed Dr. Jude Bothelho, the director of NISCORT at the farewell ceremony to the 2nd year Postgraduate (PG) students held here today. It was a sunny, gloomy day with the mixed sentiments of sadness of parting and of joy at being empowered with skills and PG certificate to face the world confidently.
If Mary Martina felt- ‘two years have passed by as if in a fraction’, Elvy Elias fumbled for words and at last declared, ‘I’ve grown in confidence’. All the 20 second year students spoke in overwhelming emotions: the intimacy they have experienced with the management, staff and the students at NISCORT. Some wept...some recounted the first days at the institute...some had a few suggestions to make and others just could hardly speak! Obviously when one is charged with emotions, ‘words difficult to come by’! But it was Amit and Gaurav who expressed it the best through a customised song... recounting all the ‘learning’ days spent at NISCORT.
There were parting messages from the Dean and the teachers, words of gratitude from the first years students and of course the parting tunes to carry along... as the first years sang- ‘yaaron dosti badi his haseen hai...bolo yeh zindagi hai”. True, they are going to miss the love and guidance of their elders and friends.
The highlight of the occasion was the high-tea followed by the DJ, led by Gaurav. No one was willing to miss the ‘last chance’ of rocking in the company of each other, whom they were soon going to miss. Well, ‘the world is round...even if you go in the opposite direction...you will meet someday...somewhere...somehow’!
